When We Are Closed
When the surgery is closed, the Cumbria PCT Out Of Hours service called CHoC (Cumbria Health on Call) will deal with all medical emergencies. Please telephone (01539) 720241 and if the surgery is closed a recorded message will give you the telephone number to ring to contact CHoC.
Please do not misuse the emergency system
NHS Direct
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call
NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

We are closed on the following afternoons for staff training from 1.00pm until 8.00am the following morning:

Prescriptions will be available from Rowlands Pharmacy from 1.00pm-5.00pm.
