Appointments can be made by calling at reception, which is open from 8:30am to 6:30pm each weekday or by telephoning, between 8:30am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday.

Availability will be dependent on holidays, but we generally aim to meet the following standards:-

• Urgent appointments with a GP within 48 hours.
• Routine appointments with a named GP within 1 week.
• For patients who need to be seen on the same day urgent appointments will be available in our Urgent Access where you may see a GP or Nurse

On arrival at the surgery for your appointment please check in using the automated arrivals system.

When you contact the surgery it is likely you will be asked to verify your identity by confirming your address or date of birth. The receptionists will also ask for a reason for the appointment, this is to help us try and place you in the most appropriate clinic for your needs.

Home Visits

If for any medical reason a patient is not able to attend the surgery, a home visit may be arranged. Medical facilities at the surgery are, of course, better and we encourage patients to attend the surgery whenever possible.

Please telephone before 11:00am if a home visit is required, or at any time for emergencies.

We offer telephone appointments, which can be very useful to follow up problems or deal with issues that do no require a physical examination.

If you wish to discuss a problem with your doctor by telephone, or request the result of a test we are happy for you to do this. If possible, please ring after 10.00am.

By registering for our Online Appointments service you are able to make, amend and cancel appointments, you can also request a repeat prescription.

If you already have created your account you can access this from our home page by clicking one of the three buttons which will take you to another page called Patient-Access online.

Repeat Prescription requests will be available for collection in two working days, if your Pharmacist collects your prescription, please let them know you have ordered it and that it should be ready for collection in two working days.

If you would like to use this facility, please call in at the reception desk with some photographic ID (passport, driving licence) and we will generate your details whilst you wait. Please note that all family members will need to register separately. From the age of 16 children will need to create their own account and therefore will be given their own log in details.

Please note that appointments for Asthma, COPD, CHD, Diabetic and Hypertension clinics are not available on line.

Please do not make appointments for blood tests after 2.30pm.

Minor Illness Clinic

Our nurse led minor illness clinic works in parallel with our duty doctor. The receptionist will continue to ask you for a brief reason for your appointment to help you access the most appropriate service.
