At Captain French Surgery the doctors and nurses take pride in offering the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. We offer chronic disease clinics and a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations, travel vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

Dr Julia Pigott left the practice on 30 June 2014.

We are happy to announce that Dr Arwa Eskander is joining the practice on 1 July 2014.

If you were registered with Dr Pigott you will be moved to Dr Eskander.

Dr Daniel Hughes will leave the practice at the start of September to work in Rwanda, we will be sad to see him go but wish him well in this new chapter in his life. He has written an open letter to his patients below.

Things have changed a lot in the time I have worked at Captain French Surgery. Physically we have moved to a lovely new building, but the team of doctors and nurses has also changed.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for my family and I to go and live and work in Rwanda.  So it is with sadness that I must announce that I too will be moving on at the end of August.

I would like to thank all my patients for their patience with me over the last 7 years, Daniel Hughes

Dr Shawn Gibson will be joining the practice at the start of September.  Dr Gibson will take over Dr Hughes patient list.

The Government has advised all general practices that they must inform patients who are aged 75 and over of their named GP, so if you are 75 or over you should receive a letter from us in the coming weeks telling you who your named GP is.

If you wish to contact us by email please use the Comment and Suggestion form on the contacts page.  We would ask that you do not send queries regarding medical issues via this method.

Travelling abroad this year?  Check if you need vaccinations using our Travel Vaccination Form.
